Why I'm Walking to Support Team Thrive+
Why I’m Walking and Supporting Team Thrive+
As a former nurse of 20 years who specialized in Chemical Dependence, and as a personal trainer for the last 18 years whose clientele are mostly gay males, I’ve seen every level of health and illness related to AIDS and HIV. It is critical that we continue to educate as well as eradicate this epidemic once and for all.
Your continued help and financial assistance are needed. Please join me by contributing to D.A.P and this year’s 2018 AIDS Walk Team Thrive benefitting HARP-PS. Ted Guice and Jeff Denean Jones, and join me, Jill Langham as this year’s co-chairs.
On Saturday, October 20th over 2,000 walkers and 100 volunteers will come together from cities across our valley to participate in the 31st annual Desert AIDS Walk -- one of the most visible and talked about experiences in the Coachella Valley. Notable for not only its size, the Walk attracts a diverse group of participants dedicated to making a lasting impact in their community. People of all ages, races and backgrounds come together each year in a massive, powerful, and inspiring demonstration of compassion and action to raise funds for Desert AIDS Project (D.A.P.), a federally qualified healthcare center that more than 10,000 of our neighbors will call their healthcare home by 2020.
You can donate through my personal page listed herein, or if you’d like to find out more about HARP-PS or donate directly, you can do so at https://www.harp-ps.org.
