Welcome to Darrell Tucci's AIDS Walk Page
In 1991, I was 14 and my childhood friend Leon passed away from AIDS at 13 years old - just 4 years after my maternal grandfather also passed away from AIDS in 1987 after open heart surgery.
First touched by the AIDS epidemic at age 9, many years before I'd ever come out as a gay man, I've tried to do my part to bring an end to this disease.
Many years later, I am proud to work at Desert AIDS Project - arguably the most comprehensive AIDS organization in the nation - where we not only care for 4,600 current people living with HIV but are strategically working to bring an end to new infections.
We can't do it alone, so I hope you'll help. I've set an aggressive fundraising goal this year and will certinaly need your support to help me reach it.
